Lemons Lemons


More crayon work. There are many layers of crayon in this piece and it is called burnishing. Layer upon layer eventually gives way to a smoothness. I have scratched away the veining for the leaves. I went through a crayon phase a few years ago and probably would enjoy opening the box again.

  5. Oh I just realized you did it with crayons, wow. I painted the most beautiful dish. I ysed to China paint.
    That is painting the subject 4 times, firing it and sanding it before each new applicatin of paint. Very long process.
