Calla Lily

The simplistic beauty of the calla lily was the subject of today's class and nice work done by all. A new technique was used for the background and layering of color for the flower's petals.

ZT Time

A few minutes snatched to do some Zentangle last night.  This tangle  done with a number two lead, which I like working with and it worked up really fast. For patterns, go here.

...words that can describe working with watercolor crayons.  Think of  them as a 'stretches'  in our artistic growth. Sometimes it's love and sometimes it's parting. Here are a few shots from today's class.

Convention of Pumpkin Heads...

And what a handsome group they are. A great project for Fall and Halloween that gave us a lot of practice in dry-brushing and a colorful banner for display. A couple of the photos are slightly fuzzy and I apologize for that.

Creative Time...

Making time...finding time...losing time...
our most valuable possession and our
worst enemy. And we all want more of it.
I purchased a couple of small 5x5 journals
at the local Dollar Tree and  even though they
they don't offer a white background for the
high contrast that looks so great for Zentangle
they are so portable and I am making and
finding the time to do some of this creative
mind work.
